What do you see?

What emotions or ideas spring to mind when you look at this image? Could you create a backstory for how this image came about? Why does/doesn't it appeal to you? Could you connect this to the topic of your blog? How?

  1. This image makes me think of an audiences reactions at a concert. This picture was probably took at The Morris Performing Arts Center when Tony Bennett was singing live. It was such an amazing experience; although, I was most likely the youngest "groupie"! This experience is one that I will never forget. I GOT TO SEE A LEGEND:)

Before my significant other proposed, we had several dates at the Morris. We saw Casting Crowns, Harry Connick Jr, Manheim Steamroller, and I am sure we will see more as a married couple.

  2. This image makes me feel anxious. It makes me feel excited and obviously reminds me of how pepolereact to a concert tye setting. Being in the crowd of pepole all excited for the same reason gives me a sense of being united and that experience feels great. I cannot relate this to my blog, but I can connect to the image.

  3. I get a good sense of energy from this picture, whether it be a concert, or the recent events in Egypt. As much as part of me realizes this photo was taken from a concert, the creative writer in me wants to believe it was taken during the revolution in Egypt, because that is so much more epic of a story, rioters shouting and right as an explosive, or Molotov cocktail goes off a picture is taken at just the right moment. I really does appeal to me, both from the music perspective, as I am a musically driven person, and as an image of revolution, because I am of the notion that says you should never settle. Unfortunately I could not connect this to my topic very easily, unless I used it as an exercise to write a new story.

  4. I either thought of this picture as a united happiness, like a concert, or a united distress, like a protest. Obviously perceiving the attitude of the crowd differently can create different back stories about the photograph itself. This is what I like best about this picture, is it can be interpreted as two polar opposites of a mass gathering. I'm not really sure how I could ever apply this to my blog, but it does make your brain think.
