What is it?

What emotions or ideas spring to mind when you look at this image? Why does/doesn't it appeal to you? Could you connect this to the topic of your blog? How?

  1. It makes me think about my dog Skye, because I got her this exact same ball toy for Christmas. it does appeal to because i love my dog a lot. she is my baby girl. I probably would not be able to connect this to my blog very well because my dog isn't a fighting game.

  2. The bright colors are cheerful, and my eyes enjoy trying to follow the lines around. However, this seems to suggest a mess, especially an abstract mess. I feel like this would be good for a blog about a problem, especially a family/work problem, a political problem, or some problem that doesn't seem to have a beginning or end. I don't see how I could connect it to my blog about books, though, unless I did something like how one book leads to another by following an author or genre or something similiar.

  3. When I look at this photo it first brings to mind the image of a dog chewing on it. Mostly because I used to have a dog that loved to chew on this particular toy. The more I look at it the more I start thinking how it looks tangled, frustrated, and even strangled.

The different colors intertwined with each other gives a sense of panic and remind me how people are intertwined with their family, no matter how different they might be. Perhaps the orange piece is not particularly fond of yellow, but they are still stuck together and help create a compelete unit.

Family seems to be the same way. You may not like someone in your family but you are stuck with them. There are ways to severe yourself from them. However, much like this ball, it would be hard and leave an empty space in the unit (family).

This ball is appealing to me because it reminds me of how entangled we are with everyone in our life. Whether we love them or hate them, if they weren't there, we would know and have something missing.

  4. This image brings to mind ideas of diversity and unity. Though the various rubber bands in the picture are different colors, they are woven into a whole. If thrown, this rubber band ball would bounce much higher than a normal rubber ball, as its hollow design makes it lighter. So, this image could be used as a simple and appealing symbol of combining dissimilar elements to create a highly-functional, dynamic whole. That said, I don’t think I could apply it to my own blog very well.

  5. This picture brings me joy because it reminds me of my dog and how generally happy any pet is when you play with them. The array of colors and how they weave in and out of one another remind me of networking. Social media is the same way in that they are all intwertwined with one another and a lot of people balance different types of social media at once.

  6. This image reminds me of something that is tightly wound up, which immediately makes me think of stress.

The appeal of this picture comes mostly of the fact that it feels like a physical representation of how I feel when stressed.

I could connect this image to my blog in a post dealing with stress as it is likely to produce similar feelings in many other people, especially if they receive a gentle nudge in that direction.

  7. This image reminds me of my childhood because it looks like play dough. I don’t have any specific ideas that I can think of right now to relate to it but it does look complex and interesting. I like the color accents; it reminds me of spring or summer. What grabbed my attention was the color and shape. Connecting to my blog though it could be relating to how you see people when you are out whether they grab your attention and what not.

  8. This image reminds me of painting and splashing colors all over the paper just to see the contrast. It brings to mind the creative potential that exists in life. Nothing has to be bland when we live in Technicolor. It is colorful and displays inter-connectivity between the colors.
Yes, I could connect this image to a post in my blog. This image embodies the basic ideas of what sexuality should be playful and fun. When romance loses its color it becomes boring.
